130 S Vine St - Request for Proposals
This building is locally known as Our Little Library on Vine St; however the Library has moved to their brand new building, just one block away. This Vine Street location is next door to our Post Office and steps away from the Badger State Trail, & Library Park, its a great location with lots of foot, bike and vehicle traffic.
This is a great opportunity to join Belleville's Downtown!

Originally, built in 1888, the Belleville, Wisconsin Train Depot was part of the Illinois Railroad System. It was in active, daily use until early 2002; first for cheese and milk, then by a local grain cooperative. The latter cooperative generously donated "The Depot" and another nearby downtown site (Used for our brand new Public Library - opening in Spring of 2021), when a modern grain facility was built on the rural edge of town. Village leaders hope you will find success at The Depot; perhaps operating a cafe, micro-brewery, wine tasting room, or a unique retail space of your own creation!
Currently, the Community Development Authority (CDA) is discussing next steps - and you are welcome to listen in! You may find meeting agendas (including virtual & in-person meeting options) and minutes on the Village Government Agendas & Minutes Page.
